Here is a picture of Charles Ernest Rossman dressed in his military uniform from the Spanish American War (April 1898 to August of 1898). Charles was my Great Grandfather on my father's side of the family. He was born in Tiffin, OH on February 4th, 1869. He was married to Nettie Ranney on February 20th, 1901. He had six children with Nettie (Karl, Mildred, William J. (My Grandfather), Ralph, E. Maxine and, Maurine). He died on June 5th, 1957 in Paola, KS. For more information on C.E. Rossman.

Charles “Charlie” Ernest Rossman was born on February 4th, 1869 in Tiffin, Ohio. He was the son of Jacob Rossman and Kristina Guder (Gueder Spl?)/Christina Hunter?. He married Nettie Ranney February 20th, 1901. They had 6 children (see below).

As a young man Charlie rode out to Kansis on a Buckboard with his brother Henry 

Charlie eventually attended the Kansas State Teachers’ College.  He then went on to become a teacher at a one room school house in Paola, KS.
